Presenter Bio:

Tom joined Hickok & Boardman HR Intelligence in 2001. Tom’s original duties centered on financial management of some of the firm’s largest accounts. In this capacity, he developed expertise with alternative funding arrangements, financial analysis, and plan design modeling. He has since become an Account Executive with lead responsibility for medium and large size clients in the firm, consulting with them on benefit strategy, design, and implementation.

Prior to joining Hickok & Boardman, Tom spent several years in the Washington, DC, office of Senator Jim Jeffords. He also worked as a lobbyist for one of the nation’s largest agricultural associations. In addition to his work with Hickok & Boardman, Tom serves as Trustee on the Board of the Lund Family Center and also served as the Chair of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce Health Care Committee from 2004 to 2006.

He is widely known to be one of the premier experts in the area of health care reform and its impact on employers in the state of Vermont. As such, he is frequently called upon to speak on the issue of health care reform throughout the state.

Tom graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.A. in 1992, and also received his MBA from the University of Vermont with a specialty in Finance in 2001.
